Venice: the “Nude” by Giorgione is back to the Accademia Galleries

March 3rd, 2020 After having been in restoration for 10 years, the “Nude” by Giorgione can now be admired again at the Accademia Galleries.

It is a fragment of the frescoes that once used to decorate the main façade of the Fontego dei Tedeschi (the Germans’ Warehouse), removed in 1937 for better preservation.

It’s significance is not quite clear yet, there are different interpretations…
