From September 9th until December 3rd, 2023 we can visit the new exhibition at the Gallerie dell'Accademia showing the first paintings of the great master from Pieve di Cadore.
There are 17 autograph works displayed together with paintings, engravings and drawings by contemporary artists, such as Giorgione, Durer, Francesco Vecellio, Sebastiano del Piombo.
1508 is the year in which Tiziano painted 'The Archangel Raphael and Tobias', permanently at the Galleries.
The exhibition itinerary starts from the very beginnings of the pictorial activity of Tiziano who would become the official painter of the Serenissima Republic and who would paint for emperors and princes, becoming famous throughout Europe.
The works of art highlight how some artists have strongly influenced his style: Michelangelo, Giorgione, Durer; these paintings constitute the prelude to the sublime artist who will dominate the Venetian and European scene in the coming years. Paintings with bright colors, well-defined drawing, refinement of light and study of different chromatic shades, his orange-reds, the elegance of his figures, his infinite greatness as an artist.
We are waiting for you in Venice for a guided tour focused on the exhibition and on other works contemporary with the great Tiziano, ciao!
