Venice: Anselm Kiefer's exhibit at Sala dello Scrutinio, Doge's Palace

From March 26th to October 29th, 2022 From March 26th 2022 it will be possible visit the powerful and monumental exhibition on Anselm Kiefer, now open at the Doge’s Palace, Sala dello Scrutinio.
The title “These writings, when burned, will finally give some light” is borrowed from the words of the Venetian philosopher Andrea Emo, who inspired Kiefer in the execution of his works that cover the walls of the room using 800 square meters of painting, mixed with ash, straw, shoes, stairs, clothes soaked in paint, submarines… it is a great show!
The contrast with the sixteenth-century ceiling is impressive, a perfect combination of infinite power: past and present meet and converge in the representation of a power that is no longer political, but even imaginative.
We are waiting for you for a guided visit both of the Doge's Palace and of this stunning exhibit, ciao!
