Drawing from life in Venice: Tiepolo, Longhi, Guardi

From February 14th, 2020 to May 18th, 2020 From Friday, February 14th, after a long restoration promoted by Save Venice, it will be possible to admire at Ca’ Rezzonico drawings and sketches from life by three great masters of the Venetian painting in the 1700’s: Tiepolo, Longhi and Guardi.

These excellent sketches are drawn on paper of poor quality, made out of rags; nonetheless, on such paper the peculiar luministic effects of the Venetian drawings stand out perfectly.
Particularly fascinating are the sketches by Giambattista Tiepolo on light blue paper.
